Call for Volunteers

Haere Mai!

Tiki Kon is calling all who wish to help create and support our event as a volunteer.

We depend on the generosity of our volunteers to produce the best event possible, while keeping costs down and ticket prices low. This year the event is bigger and better than ever, and that means we need your help! Low on funds but want to attend? Want to participate in Tiki Kon in a unique way? Want to earn the admiration of your peers? If you've got some spare time before or during the event, and wish to participate in Tiki Kon in a unique way, please sign up!

Exact roles and duties are still being ironed out, but here's some examples of the help we'll need:
  • Pre-event construction and painting of sets and decorations
  • Event grounds and venue decoration
  • Registration desk staff
  • Door staff, ticket sales
  • Event load-in/load-out
  • General assistance during vending, parties, etc.
We will reward your generosity! For every 4 hours of volunteer time on event days (Fri-Sun), or every 12 hours of pre-event volunteer time, you'll receive one admission for yourself or a friend to the event of your choice (food and drink not included):
  • Friday night party
  • Saturday seminars
  • Saturday night party
Want to bring a date? Sign up for an extra shift or two, or invite your date to volunteer with you! It's a fun way to participate and show your love.
NOTE: We must ask that our volunteers refrain from consuming alcohol before and during their shifts. If you volunteer for a shift during a party or the home bar tour, we salute you!

Time is running out, sign up today! Send an email to volunteers@tikikon.com, and provide the following information:
  • Your full name
  • Phone number
  • Email address
  • Age/birthdate (We promise to keep your age a secret, but alcohol is involved, so we cannot allow minors on many of the shifts)
  • Availability/preferred times:
    • Pre-event set construction, painting
    • Friday afternoon
    • Friday evening
    • Saturday morning
    • Saturday afternoon
    • Saturday evening
    • Sunday morning
    • Sunday afternoon, must have own transportation
Mauruuru! (That means thank you in Tahitian)
